• Advising Natixis S.A. before the English Courts arising out of the Zenrock Commodities.
• Advising XiO Cayman on complex, multi-party and multi-jurisdictional investigations and proceedings arising out of one of the largest corporate / private equity fund collapses in recent years. The dispute involved litigation and arbitration proceedings in Hong Kong, Cayman, Nevis and London including claims for control of the group, its assets and bonuses/carry by former senior managers and employees.
• Advising an international energy company on claims in excess of $1bn against a top 5 global oil major arising out of an attempted purchase of a major shareholding in one fo the largest crude oil refineries in Europe. This involves key energy security issues arising from the Russia / Ukraine war.
• Advising Tchenguiz in one of the largest disputes of the past decade, the multi-faceted litigation, we have achieved a series of victories including securing jurisdiction against Kaupthing Bank Hf and a successful judicial review challenge against the SFO.
